8 December 2006 - Solemnisation Ceremony
The ceremony was held at Raffles Hotel. It was a small ceremony, with only close family members and friends attended the wedding. It was held at the hotel's garden. Quite a nice setting and atmosphere. So romantic....Lucky it did not rain that night, if not, we'll be drenched!
The whole ceremony was totally different from what I've seen so far for Muslim marriages. Most, or I should say, all of my family member's solemnisation ceremony was held at their own flat, with lots of relatives attended it. But this was different. So I was quite excited and curious to find out more about it. So do my friends...hehehe...
The kadhi is my favourite one - Kadhi Nur Razak (the hensem kadhi..hehe). The whole ceremony, including the 'akad nikah' was in English. Quite mesmerised by the whole thing. Alhamdulillah, it all went well and smoothly.
9 December 2006 - Wedding Ceremony
It was held at Restaurant Tepak Sireh. The nasi briyani is nice...sehingga menjilat jari. The meat was soft and tender...hmmm yummy! But there's not much variety of dishes..juz 'kuah dhal, ayam masak merah and acar timun'. Tapi ok jugak lah. Tak cerewet.
I didn't really help out much (actually there's nothing to help out in the first place). So I become 'tukang penyambut tamu'...but only to those guests that I know...hehehe. My temporary duty was to ushered guests to sign the guest book while waiting for the 'official person' to take over (coz she's late). Then I babysit two babies while their parents eat. The babies are so heavy! Koosmangat....Next I became the 'Cisco' coz I have to guard the bag 'yg isi duit salam'. Stress jaga duit banyak2...
Oh I met an old friend. Yeay! Finally met my friend while we are out. Eh wait...damn it! He's also Arfi's friend. Cheh! It's a draw......hmph! :PPPPP bonget!
The ceremony went on well and smoothly. Stayed till the last guest leave. Quite tired after the whole thing but luckily it was only for 3.5hrs. Before going home, had teh-tarik power! Segar kejap...what a nice way to end the day....hmmm yummy!
To Abg Maman and Kak Sarah (think can start calling her Kak, but quite weird lah)...Selamat Pengantin Baru. To Kak Sarah - welcome to the family. Kami doakan semoga kalian kekal hingga ke akhir hayat dan tabah mengharungi cabaran dan dugaan berumahtangga. Insya Allah. Amin.
