Hello...hello...hello...

Wow! It's been a very very long time since I updated my blog. Been very busy the whole of April with the peak filing period. Had been going home late almost every day and working every Saturdays. Any time at home was for resting and spending time with hubby. Glad that finally, the battle is over! Managed to pull through the rough time at work with 'kerenah' fellow colleagues, temp staff and taxpayers. Though we had our fights and cried at work, I'm glad that my working relationship with other colleagues is still good. Stressful time's over!! Yahoo...

I've also had my well deserved break. Went for a holiday with beloved hubby to Gold Coast Australia in early May. This is in conjunction with hubby's birthday and our 8th wedding anniversary. Wow! How time flies. 8 years already huh?

Trip to Gold Coast was fantabulous!! Had a 'boomerang' time!! We actually went to two places, 1) Tangalooma Island Resort and 2) Gold Coast - Surfers Paradise.

What a day....

As usual, I will set the alarm clock at 5.45am. And as usual, I won't wake up at 5.45am sharp. Haha..I will go back to sleep and wake up at abt 6.10am. That's me everyday. Need time to warm up..can't wake up straight away. I'll get a headache. Hee..

I was out of the house at 6.50am. I know that my usual bus will come at abt 7am. However, juz now, it was a little bit early. I was abt 30 metres from the bus stop when I saw the bus coming. Then I realised that there were not many people at the bus stop. So I started running. When I was abt 2 metres away from the bus door, the Apek juz closed the door and moved off. My blood juz shoot to the top seh....ZENGGGG!!!!! Apek tu dgn 'muka toyer' dia, dia macam action tak nampak aku...eeee GERAM nya!!!

I was so angry that I knocked on the door repeatedly with my TODAY newspaper. I don't care abt the surroundings, whether people at the bus stop or in the bus was watching me. I don't give a damn! I juz want to get onto the bus! How the hell did the Apek not see that I was running and juz moved off like that?!? Buta ke per?!?

I was actually not late for work. I can wait for the next bus. But what for? I run already, might as well make my running worth it right? So I die die must get onto the bus...

Lucky the Apek stopped the bus for me. Kalau takkkkkkkk.....hmm..blom terpikir apa nak buat ngan Apek tu. Walaupun geram, aku tetap say "THANK YOU" to the Apek! *wink* *wink* Courtesy goes a long way... :)

In the bus, as usual, I will msg my husband to complaint. After I "nyek nyek nyek" at him, his reply was to ask me to cool down and don't go and knock on the mrt door and get angry at the mrt driver. Hmph! Kong asam! :p

It's that time of the year again...

April is approaching and there's an important date in there that you must remember. Do you know what's the date? Nope, not your birthday. It's the Income Tax filing day! Yahh 15 April, don't forget hor...

So have you submitted your income tax form? Haven't?! What are you waiting for? Christmas is it?!? Don't wait lah...do it now!

For those who have done it, BERY GOOD! You are not the last minute Singaporeans. Best! Wah caya sama lu!

To all my favourite 'clients', remember to give me all the documents and information asap hokay...don't wait last minute also hor...tenQ!

Bowling at SAFRA Tampines

Both my hubby and I, together with my siblings went for a bowling game. We had planned to play bowling for quite sometime but only managed to get together juz now. It was fun and we enjoyed ourselves.

I was in the last place for the 1st game...ditewaskan oleh lelaki dan adik2. Hmph! Takper... takper... baru warm up. Belom form lagik...rilek..nanti aku menang punya. Chedebah.

Tapi malangnya...aku kalah jugak for the 2nd & 3rd game, but not in the last place! Hah hah...Yang Champion...my brother...he conquered the game...came in 1st all the time. Cheh! Takper Bro...well done! Congrats! Lain kali I will beat u.. :)

Tapi ada kejadian yg tak disangka2 berlaku...when my turn came....wahh..aku bersemangat! I was talking to myself all the time. Ok ok..focus...focus....tengok arrow tu betul2..ignore the rest..concentrate...ok ok here goes...dgn semangatnya aku lontar bola tu...dan dgn lajunya bola tu termelanton ke belakang...alamak!! malunya....org kat lane sebelah pun terperanjat...and they were all laughing at me...hehehehe...

I kept laughing at myself too...hee hee...selenger nya...malu sakkk....tak pernah umur aku terlepas bola bowling..nasib takder org ambik video...kalo tak bleh antar kat America's Funniest Home Video....hahaha...malunya akuuuu....

But no matter what happens, the game must go on...so dgn selambanya aku meneruskan permainan ku tadi...hehehe..bila teringat balik...ek eh tak sangka aku boleh buat muka sadin... :P

Hope we can have the chance to get together again...maybe when my uncle got a chalet at Downtown East at the end of this month...I shall ask my other cousins to join in....that will be more fun!! I'm so looking forward to it.

Short trip to Melaka - 3 to 4 March 2007

Both my husband and I, together with my parents-in-law, went to Melaka last weekend to attend a wedding. My husband's grandfather was from Melaka and the person who invited us was my father-in-law's cousin. So his son who got married yesterday is my husband's two pupu (direct translation of dua pupu...hahaha (very lame...yes I know :p)).

I've always wanted to attend a wedding in Malaysia. Never attended one, or I should say, I had attended one before but I was too small to recall how it was like. So, I was eager to go and see!

Well, it was not much of a surprise. The wedding reception was about the same as the one in Singapore with buffet lunch, DJ playing the music, even the food was about the same..nasi 'putih' with 'lemak nangka' and salted fish and nasi briyani (it's more like tomato rice though) with 'ayam masak merah'. But the 'kick' of the day, the sambal belacan!!! Powerdema! Pedas gila! Fuhhh...berpeluh-peluh...dahlah cuaca panas..meleleh-leleh peluh. Tapi best ahhh...as one of my colleague would always say "MELANCH.." (ooppss)

It was a good trip. Got to meet most of Abah's cousins. Went to visit their house and get to meet their mother (nenek ni kurang pendengaran...anak2 dia semua cakap kat dia kena pekik2... kecoh!!!). But it was fun to watch and observe everything. :)

Anyway, when we visited them, biasalah kita org Melayu, kalau tetamu datang mesti kena makan. So during most of the visitings, I kept on eating and eating and eating walaupun dah kenyang coz the tuan rumah macam tak dengar atau buat2 tak dengar kalau kita cakap "Dah lah...kita dah makan tadi, masih kenyang." They still 'force' us to eat. So we eat a bit lor, taknak kecikkan hati tuan rumah. :)

Other than the wedding and visitings, another MUST thing to do in Melaka is.....to go to the "Manggis" shop and eat CHENDOL!!!! Hee hee hee...and another thing that I must do is....eat at KENNY ROGERS!!!! Maacaaroonii and cheeeessseeeeeee....hhhmmmmmm......yummyyyyy!!!!!

So if you were to go to Melaka next time, try the Chendol okay!! It's a MUST!

I am a Reality TV Freak!

So far I've followed the Amazing Race (America & Asia), Survivor, The Apprentice, The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, Beauty and the Geek, The Big Loser, American Idol, Malaysian Idol, Indonesian Idol, So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD), Singapore Idol, The Dance Floor, America's Next Top Model, Fear Factor...hmm what else eh?

Although some people criticized 'teruk-teruk' Reality TV shows, but for me, I love watching the colourful characters of God's creation. I watched it not juz for the sake of watching it, I actually learn from these people. They portray positive attitudes, act as an inspiration, believer of themselves and tell the world that nothing is impossible.

In the American Idol or SYTYCD, some of them really really believe that they can sing or dance but actually they can't. Although the judges or other people think that they are horrible, what amazed me is their high level of self confidence and their believe in themselves. What others think of them is not important. This is one positive attitude that we can take.

Another show that I love is The Big Loser. This show is about EXTREMELY obese people who aim to lose weight through proper dieting and exercise. It's a big booster, motivation and inspiration for those who intend to lose weight. I love to see their expressions when they lost a few pounds at the end of the show. For those who got voted out each week, they will show how the contestant continue with their life at home and what's their current weight at the end of it. They do lost a great amount of weight and that really amazed me. How in the world do they have the perserverance, motivation and will power to continue exercising and dieting to reach their ultimate goal?! For me, hangat-hangat taik ayam jer. Exercise satu dua bulan, terus berhenti. Kalau dah gemuk sikit, baru exercise lagik. Tch tch tch...teruk punya case.

Anyway, thank you Reality TV shows. You have kept me occupied almost every nite. Monday nite - The Amazing Race All-Stars, Tue nite, hmm no show, Wed nite - American Idol/The Dance Floor, Thur nite - American Idol/The Dance Floor Result show, Fri nite - Survivor Fiji, Sat - don't have, Sun - used to be The Apprentice, but now..no more. :(

My masterpiece

My masterpiece is finally ready! This is my supposedly "2 weeks stay-at-home" project. Didn't manage to complete it in 2 wks though. It took me one month actually to complete everything.

I made the cross-stitch especially for my friend, Victoria, as a wedding present. I am supposed to give it to her on 9 Feb, which is her wedding ceremony, but since I didn't manage to complete it on time, I'll give it to her tomorrow. Hee hee. I sincerely hope she'll like it.

To Victoria and Selvam, congratulations and welcome to the marriage life. Hope that this beautiful journey which you will share together will bring more joy and meaning to your life.

Penantian Satu Penyeksaan

Setiap detik berlalu, terasa lambat ku rasakan. Hati dan perasaanku seperti sedang menaiki 'roller-coaster'. Adakalanya aku gembira dan tenang, adakalanya aku berasa cemas dan takut..takut sejarah silam berulang kembali. Memang betul apa yg dikatakan...penantian satu penyeksaan.

Apakah penantian ini akan berakhir dengan kegembiraan, ataupun sebaliknya? Setelah sekian lama aku menantinya...adakah aku akan mengecapi kebahagiaan yg dinantikan? Atau, adakah sejarah silam tetap akan menghantui hidupku lagi? Sesungguhnya aku pasrah....

Aku berserah kepadaMu Ya Allah. Sesungguhnya semuanya berada ditanganMu sekarang. Aku telah berusaha dan aku telah berdoa kepadaMu setiap hari, supaya hari yg ku nantikan akan tiba dgn penuh kegembiraan. Sesungguhnya aku lemah. Aku tidak berdaya berbuat apa-apa melainkan dgn izinMu Ya Allah.

"Kun Fayakun". Aku sangat-sangat mengharapkan keredhaan dan keikhsananMu. Sesungguhnya Engkau Maha Pengasih dan Maha Penyayang. Hanya Engkau yg tahu apa yg terbaik buat hamba-hambaMu yg lemah ini. Aku pasrah Ya Allah. Aku berserah kepadaMu.

Adakah sejarah silam akan berulang kembali? Ataupun kebahagiaan akan kukecapi?

Aku akan menanti dan terus menanti....

I got the job!!!!

That was the shortest interview that I've ever had...10 minutes only!! Actually it was more like a chit chat session rather than an interview. The questions posed was not that tough. But I was nervous before I went in that I had to go to the loo...to b*r@k. Teruk eh?

We reached the office juz in time though there was a massive jam this morning from Tampines all the way to Kallang due to an accident after Paya Lebar. Kept on looking at the clock in the car..dlm hati dab dub dab dub..."jgnlah lambat...jgnlah lambat". Alhamdulillah...traffic was smooth after Kallang all the way to the office. Phew!

The offer was great! The remuneration package, benefits, position, job scope, etc suits me very well. So I accepted the offer immediately and I'll be starting on my new job next Monday, 5 February 2007. Wuhuuuu!!

Alhamdulillah. Finally I'll be contributing to the nation's economy and reduces the unemployment rate in Singapore. :)

Stay at home

Niari genap seminggu aku duduk kat rumah (not my house actually, at my mum's house). Wah baik seh budak! Slalunya aku kaki merayap. Tak boleh duduk kat rumah. Asik nak merayap jer. Mcm mak aku slalu cakap "Kalau duduk kat rumah, macam cacing kepanasan." Actually dorang pun tak boleh duduk rumah diam2...hehehehe...kalau ada chance, dorang pun asik nak kuar jalan2 jer...kalau aku tak ikot jejak mak or bapak aku, nak ikot saper lagik kan? Dah keturunan....Kuah nak tumpah kat mana kalau tak ke nasi? :)

Ni bukan aku betul2 dah baik nak jadi 'stay-at-home' girl..ni pasal strict instructions from doctor, husband, mak mertua & mak aku sendiri. Ah ambik kao! Aku ngah recuperate after some medical procedure. Mula2 boring gak kena duduk kat rumah jer. But then, after a while, hmm naik seronok pulak. Nasib aku dah buat plan..to complete my '2 wks stay at home project'. Apa project tu? Nantilah..kalau dah siap nanti aku ambik gambar and post kat blog ni k.

I wanna thank my sis, for letting me sleep in her room...dpt tidor kat masterbedroom woi!! Seronok! Tu lah bilik aku dulu sebelum aku pindah. Hmm...teringat zaman baru2 kawin..wuhuuu..Thks to my bro too for letting my sis sleeps in his room, and he has to sacrifice, tidor kat hall..cian dia..(malam ni boleh tidor kat bilik kau yer..abg arfi kerja malam..Nor will sleep with me tonite)..and lastly, thks to my beloved mummy and daddy for the hospitality. Nothing beats mum's home-cooked food....yummy!!! Dah terubat rindu nak makan masakan mak. Hmmm...burp! Alhamdulillah...and how can I forget my Darling? Thks for everything! Cian abg kena pergi balik rumah kita ngan rumah mak, ambik barang2 yg saya terlupa..bayarkan bill, handle semuanya lah..lep u lep u lep u...

Got another news. Next Tue aku dpt interview! Yeay! At last, hopefully I'll get the job. What's the company's name? Errr..tailong yg berlesen...

Semoga tahun baru 1428 ni membawa berita2 yg gembira buat aku sekeluarga. Insya Allah. Amin.
